A Letter from the President
Hello,
Club elections were held in February. Re-elected President was Richard Howlett, Vice President Harold Decker, Secretary Sadie Billings. Renee Michaud was elected Treasurer & Randy michaud was elected trailmaster. The club would like to thank Anne Marie Marquis for a super job as Treasurer and Albert Billings for a super job as trailmaster. The time they spent in these positions is greatly appreciated. During the past years we have accomplished many things. The Park & Ride has received upgrades courtesy of the Sewer & Water District enabling us to place picnic tables along the river. Also added were several tables on the bank along the trail. Bridges were built on the Wal-Mart trail across the by-pass. A new bridge built on the CP Trail replacing the one washed out by high water of the spring. We also have held two ATV Saftey coursed with another one scheduled for late spring. Instructors were Dick Howlett, Harold Decker and Pat Hardsgrove. This is open to anyone 10 years of age and older, and must be accompanied by an adult. In July, The City of Presque Isle turned over the Arnold Brook Lake facility to the club. Work has been done cleaning shrubs and some repairs have been made to the building. We have also added a fire pit to the site. A furnace has been added for heat to the clubhouse. For this generous donation - The City of Presque Isle was nominated and received the award for Municipality of the year. This award is presented by the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Several members of the club along with City Manager Tom Stevens traveled to Augusta to accept the award. A trail has been completed connecting Arnold Brook Lake to the rest of the trail system. Also we have built a trail from Arnold Brook Lake to Chapman. Vandalism was still present but kept in check with the help of Presque Isle Police Department. We would like to thank them for all they have done for the club. The Ultimate ATV Event was held in July, considering the rain we had a great turnout. We look forward to hosting The Ultimate ATV Event again this year on July 23rd - 25th. One agian this December, we hosted a Christmas Party at The Knights of Columbus Hall for the clients at the Opportunity Training Center. Thanks to all members who volunteered their time for this event.  A great time was had by all clients and workers. I want to thank all members of the club. Without you we wouldn't be as strong as we are today.

Travel only where permitted.
Respect the rights of others.
Educate yourself.
Avoid sensitive areas at all times.
Drive and travel responsibly.

Please respect the landowners and their property. Without them, we would not have any trails to ride on. Remember that riding these ATV Trails is a privilege, not a right. Privileges can be taken away.
In closing I'd like to say, Ride Safe, Respect the Landowners and their Property, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!!
See you out on the trails soon.
